This Deed made this second day of January A.D. 1860 witnesseth that Henry King & Mary L. King his wife by John H. Roundtree their attorney in fact of the County of Lehigh and State of Pennsylvania in consideration of twenty five Dollars in hand paid by Stephen Carhart of the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do grant bargain sell convey and confirm to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever the following described land viz:
   Four Rods wide and across the west half of North East quarter of the North west quarter of Section Twenty four Township three Range one West in said County and State.  Also the right of ingress  and egress, all of which are reservation in a certain Deed of conveyance (made and) recorded July 13th A.D. 1857 in Book "E2" of Deeds on Page 200 in Grant County Wisconsin and this indenture is intended to convey the said reservations to Stephen Carhart fully and unconditionally.  To have and to hold the same with the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, the said Henry King and Mary L. King hereby covenanting that they their heirs executors, and administrators will warrant and defend the title to said premises to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons.  In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set our hands and seals this day first above written.

     Be it remembered that on this 2nd day of January A.D. 1860 before me an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid appeared Henry King and Mary L. King by their Attorney John H. Roundtree to me well known to be the identical person whose name appears to the foregoing Deed and they acknowledged to have represented the same for the purposes therein expressed.  In witness whereof I have hereto set may name and seal at Platteville this day.

Mill & Joannah Mill his wife of the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin in consideration of eight hundred fifty Dollars, paid by Stephen Carhart the following described premises and Real Estate, situate, lying and being in the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin to wit;
   The East half of the North West quarter of the North East quarter of Section No ten (10) in Township No three (3) north of Range No one (1) west of the fourth principal meridian, except a strip twenty feet wide off the South end thereof..
   To have and to Hold The above granted premises, to the said Stephen Carhart, his his heirs and assigns, to his & their use and behoof forever.  And the said John P. Mill for himself and his heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Stephen Carhart, his heirs and assigns, that he is lawfully seized in fee simple of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances; that he had good right to sell and convey the same to the said Stephen Carhart, his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that he will, and his heirs, executors and administrators, shall warrant and defend the same to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
   In Witness Whereof, we the said John P. Mill & Joannah his wife have hereunto set our hands and seals this ninth day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixty.

Know all Men by these Presents, That Stephen Carhart & Eliza his wife of the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin in consideration of one thousand Dollars, paid by Thomas Mathews the following described premises and Real Estate, situate, lying and being in the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin to wit;
   The East half of the North West quarter of the North East quarter of Section No ten (10) in Township No three (3) north of Range No one (1) West of the fourth principal meridian, also the east half of the South West quarter of the North East quarter of Section No twenty eight (28) in township No four (4) north of Range No one (1) west of the fourth principal meridian, save & except a right of way across the south end of the first said tract of land to the road running north [??] in the east side thereof the land thereby taken up.
   To have and to Hold The above granted premises, to the said Thomas Mathews, his heirs and assigns, to his & their use and behoof forever.  And the said Stephen Carhart for himself and he heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Thomas Mathews his heirs and assigns, that he is lawfully seized in fee simple of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances; that he had good right to sell and convey the same to the said Thomas Mathews his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that he will, and his heirs, executors and administrators, shall warrant and defend the same to the said Thomas Mathews his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
   In Witness Whereof, we the said Stephen Carhart & Eliza his wife have hereunto set our hands and seals this twentieth day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixty.

Know all Men by these Presents, That John Carhart and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by Stephen Carhart of the same place have granted bargained sold and quit claimed unto the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, the following described Tract Piece or parcel of Land situated in the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin to wit;
   The East half of the North West quarter of Section No. Three (3) in Town three (3) North of Range No. One (1) west of the fourth Principal Meridian.  To have and to Hold the same with all the Right Title Interest and property in and to this said premises to this said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever.  In Testimony whereof the said John Carhart & Elizabeth his wife have hereunto subscribed our names and affixed our Seals this Twentieth day of October A.D. 1860.

   The East half of the North West quarter of Section No three (3) in Town No three (3) North of Range No one (1) West containing eighty acres more or less.
   To have and to Hold The above granted premises, to the said John Arthur, his heirs and assigns, to his and their use and behoof forever.  And the said Stephen Carhart for himself and he heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said John Arthur his heirs and assigns, that he is lawfully seized in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances; that he had good right to sell and convey the same to the said John Arthur his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that he will, and his heirs, executors and administrators, shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said John Arthur his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.

Stephens and Jane Stephens his wife of the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin in consideration of Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars; paid by Stephen Carhart the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns the following described Premises and Real Estate, situate, lying and being in the County of Grant and State of Wisconsin to wit;
   The North West quarter of the South East quarter, The North East quarter of the South West quarter and the East half of the North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section thirteen (13) and twenty acres off the North end of the West half of the North East quarter of Section No. Eighteen (18) all in township No. three, north of Range One (1) West containing in the whole one hundred and twenty acres more or less.
   To have and to Hold The above granted premises, to the said Stephen Carhart, his heirs and assigns, to use and behoof forever.  And I the said James J. Stephens his heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Stephen Carhart heirs and assigns, that I am lawfully seized, in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances; that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that I will, and my heirs, executors and administrators, shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.

   The North West quarter of the South East quarter, the North East quarter of the South West Quarter, and the East half of the North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section No. Thirteen (13) in Town No. Three (3), North the Range One (1) West of the fourth Principle Meridian and containing one Hundred acres more of less, and the following described Lot ???:
     Lot No. One Hundred ?? in the ?? of Griffith in said Grant County, Wisconsin, according to the recorded map and plat thereof.
   To have and to Hold the above granted premises, to the said Julius Augustine his heirs and assigns, to his use and behoof forever.  And the said Stephen Carhart for himself & his heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Julius Augustine his heirs and assigns, that he is lawfully seized in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances.
   That he has good right to sell and convey the same to the said Julius Augustine his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that he will, and his heirs, executors and administrators, shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said Julius Augustine his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.

   The East half of the North West quarter of Section No Eight (8) and the West half of the North West quarter of Section No. Nine (9) of Town No three (3) North of Range No one (1) West of the fourth principal meridian.
   To have and to Hold the above granted premises, to the said Stephen Carhart, his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof forever.  And he the said Julius Augustine his heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns, that he is lawfully seized in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances.
   That he has good right to sell and convey the same to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid, and that he will, and his heirs, executors and administrators, shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said Stephen Carhart his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.

   Know all men by their presents, that whereas, Gabriel Natcher, late of Indianapolis, State of Indiana, now of Sidney, Ohio, obtained Letter Patent of the United States for improvement to Millstone Dress, the claim is one being for the dress, therein described, and in the other for this instrument, with which said dress is effected, which said letter patent bear date April 27 AD 1858.  And whereas, A. B. Cowan of the City of Galesburg, in the State of Illinois, is the legal owner and representative if all said Natchers right in each and both of said Sellers Patent, to and in the State of Iowa.  Now know all men, that for and in consideration of the sum of a valuable consideration in Dollars, in hand paid by S. Carhart Sr. of the Town of Platteville, and County of Grant, and State of Wisconsin.  I hereby sell and convey unto the said S. Carhart Sr. his heirs and assigns, all my right to said improvements, as derived from said Natcher, for and in the right of sale and use in the Cos. of Winnebago, Emmet, Dickinson, Osceola, Lyon, Sioux, Obryan, Clay, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Plymouth, Woodbury, Ida, Sac, Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Guthrie, Adair, Cass, Adair, Taylor, Page, Montgomery, Potawatamie, Mills, and Fremont.  33 Cos., also the County of Terk, in the State of Illinois, to the full ins of the term for which law letters patent, are or may be granted.
     In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 11th day of Decmeber AD 1867.

   The North half of the North East quarter of the North West quarter of Section No. Five (5) in Township No. Three (3) North of Range one West containing Twenty Acres more or less.  Also the South West quarter of the South East quarter of Section numbered Thirteen (13) Township numbered Three (3) North Range No. one (1) West the fourth meridian (4) containing forty acres more or less.  Also the South East quarter of the South West quarter of Section No. Thirteen (13) Township No. Three (3) North Range One (1) West of the fourth principal meridian containing forty (40) acres more or less.  Also the West half of the North East quarter of the North West quarter of Section Twenty Four (24) Township Three (3) North Range one West of the fourth (4) Principal Meridian containing twenty acres more or less containing in all one hundred and twenty acres more or less.
   To have and to Hold the above granted premises, to the said Francis Rowe and to his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof forever.  And we the said Stephen Carhart and Eliza Carhart his wife their heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said Francis Rowe his heirs and assigns, that they are lawfully seized in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances.

     Twenty acres off the North End of the West half of the North East quarter of Secton number Eighteen (18) in Township number three (3) north of range one west (1) of the fourth (4) principal meridian containing twenty acres more or less.  
   To have and to Hold the above granted premises, to the said William Rundell and his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof forever.  And we the said Stephen Carhart and Eliza Carhart his wife our heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said William Rundell his heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee simple  of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all incumbrances.
   That we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said William Rundell his heirs and assigns forever, as aforesaid; and that we will, and our heirs, executors and administrators, shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said William Rundell his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
