Every part of Maui has it's advantages. There is something for everybody
on Maui. West Maui, including Kaanapali and Lahaina, offer many advantages
to visitors of the "Valley Isle". Kihei offers a more Hawaiian feel
and nice beaches. Wailea offers the advantages of posh resorts and a
more quiet setting. Maalaea, as you can see from this map, has the advantage
of being more centrally located if you plan on doing a lot of traveling.
It also offers a quiet and uncrowded setting.
West Maui includes the shopping, Front St., and the old whaling town
of Lahaina along with the beautiful Kaanapali beach area and Whalers
Village. Past that is the resort areas of Honokowai, Kahana, Napili
and Kapalua.
