Will of John Compton; My wife, Sally, all that part of a tract deed ed to me by John Bogar, which lies on the east side of Little
Brush Creek, including the dwelling house where I now live, about 100 acre s, except that part I have already disposed of.
She's to get 1/2 of my stock and personal property during her lifeti me or widowhood. My 2 grandsons, John and William
Howel, get the tract of land Deeded to me by John Bogar, that lies on t he west side of Little Brush Creek, including a spring
on the east side of said Creek, about 200 yards from my dwelling house a nd also 2 acres on the east side of said Creek lying
around the spring. I will to my faithful servant, Abraham, a man of colou r, 1/2 of my stock and farming utensils. I ask that he
remain with my wife for 3 years after my death to farm the land and th at he get 1/2 the crop and my wife the other 1/2. After
the 3 years, Abraham is to be emancipated. If my wife should die before t he 3 years, then he's to have his freedom
immediately. I also wish Abraham to have the balance of my land not here in disposed of. I wish my female servant, Rodah be
emancipated when her daughter, Caroline is 14. If my wife dies before Car oline is 14, then my daughter, Polly Warren shall
have the use of Rodah until Caroline is 14. The children of Rodah, viz: Ca roline and Lotty shall be emancipated when Abraham
is freed. After the death or marriage of my wife, my proper ty is to go to my grandson, John Warren;

The last will and testament of John Comptons deeds was this day produced i nto court by Avery Warren the executor therein
made and proven by the oaths of Aaron Harding and Hiram Scott two of the s ubscribing witnesses thereto to have signed
sealed and delivered by the said John Compton as his last will and testame nt at time of writing the same they believed him to
be in perfect mind and memory. Whereupon it is ordered that the same be r ecorded and the said Avery Warren had the proper
oaths administered to him and entered unto an a _____________ bond in t he penalty of $4,000 with William Despain, Charles
Blevins & Thomas Skaggs as his securities and on further ______ it is orde red that William Skaggs, Thomas Underwood, Hiram
Underwood, and Johnson Druin be and they are hereby appointed or any thr ee of whom being first sworn appears to appraise
all the goods an real estate of said John Compton and make report to court .

Whereas is the action of Thomas Coakley Surviving Partner of Hazelwood & C oakley - Plantiff
against
Mary Jane Warren & C - Defendants,
pending in the Taylor Circuit Court as order was entered at the June Ter m, 1884 directing Chas
Patterson commissioner of said Court, to expose for sale at public aucti on to the highest bidder,
the property hereinafter described and WHEREAS said property was sold in a ccordance with
said order, on the 1st day of September 1884 for the sum of Two Hundred a nd Ninety Dollars
and (zero) cents, when Thos Coakley became purchaser thereof and WHERE AS the report of
said sale was confirmed by said Court at the October Term, 1884, and at t he October Term,
1884, an order was entered directing Chas Patterson Commissioner, to execu te a deed of
conveyance of said property to said Thos Coakley but for greater certain ty the record and
proceedings in said case are referred to. Now, therefore this Indenture m ade and entered into
this (Blank) day of (Blank) 18__ between between Mary J. Warren, John A. W arren, F. G.
Warren, Elizabeth Skaggs, W. A. Skaggs & C by Chas Patterson as commissi oner aforesaid,
has sold and by this writing convey to said party of the second part, a nd his heirs, assigns
forever, the following described property, to wit: One half of the Avery W arren tract of land
which lies on the waters of Brush Creek in Taylor County, Kentucky a nd is bounded as follows
" Viz ": Beginning at Little Brush Creek on a Hickory running east with J ohn Wood and Patsy
Thompson line to a small maple thence S. with John & George Coakleys li ne to a stone thence
West with Mike Scotts line with the branch to the Creek thence up the Cre ek to the beginning
containing 125 acres more or less. To have and to hold said property wi th its appertances unto
said grantee his heirs and assigns. The said commissioner conveys the rig ht, title and interest,
legal and equitable of the said Mary Warren, John A. Warren, F. G. Warre n, James I. Warren,
Elizabeth Skaggs, W. A. Skaggs & others in and to said property, and warra nts the title thereto;
so for as he is authorized by the judgement, orders, and proceedings in sa id cause, and no
further; but he does not bind himself personally by anything contained her ein, in any event,
whatever. In testimony Whereof, said Chas Patterson commissioner aforesai d, has hereunto

The oldest known Warren in Lincoln county is Captain
William Warren moved into KY in 1779 and settled on
the Dix River in Lincoln Co. KY. Lived in stockade at
"Warren's Fort", south of Danville KY. Capt. William
Warren died in LINCOLN CO, KY on 3 Sep 1819, aged
eighty years.
Captain Warren and Catherine, his wife, had issue:
JUDGE William Warren, died 14 April, 1825, Lincoln County, Kentucky.

2. Was listed as a testator (witness) of the will of William Bromale (Bru male) of Kent County, Maryland. on 4 December 1660;

Immigrated for good in 1662 with son Humphrey as noted by following Maryla nd land entry:

His 3rd wife had re-married to Thomas Howell before the Estate was settl ed according to a statement of Humphrey Warren Junior
