General Notes (Husband)
James Warren lived to be 101 years old. He was one of several families
that wandered from Green county, only to come back.
He lived for extended periods in Indiana, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
James, along with his Brothers, fought in the Revolutionary War. James
volunteered in the town of Greenville in 96th District, South Carolina. Hi s
pension application, dated December, 1834 at 85 years of age, indicates
he was a Private in the War, serving under a number of officers, one of
which was General Nathaniel Green.

General Notes (Wife)
Listed with son Absolem Warren, in 1840 Green County Federal Census.
General Notes for Child William Warren
In a Revolutionary War pension request, Widow Rhoda Warren named her child ren in order of oldest to youngest as follows:
Polly, Hugh, Elizabeth, Sally, 'Hardin, Andrew, Fredrick, William, Nanc y, Rhoda, John, Dodson, and Silas Warren.
We know Polly; the oldest was born in 1776.
We know that Frederick was born about 1793.
We know that Rhoda was born in 1800.
The kids between Frederick and Rhoda are William and Nancy.
Assuming Nancy was born 1n 1798, we can place William's birth between 17 94 and 1797.
This William Warren was married in 1799 in Green County, Kentucky to Bets ey Elkin(s).
This leaves this William as either the son Hugh (born 1764) or James (bo rn 1749).
My inclination is to place this William with James; since he would have be en about
20 years of age when married. This puts his birth year about 1778-1779. Hu gh
would only have been 14-15 years of age. Rhoda's pension discounts this Wi lliam.
The James Warren family would have been the right age for this William.
I am placing him here only as a possibility to keep him with our Green Cou nty, Kentucky Warren group.
Another possibility is the closely related Lincoln County, Kentucky Warren s.
General Notes for Child Eady Warren
Married by Baldwin Griffin. #156 in Green county book.
