Accentuate the Positive - Halloween in Olden Times was a positive and happy occasion. Spirits were easier to talk to and often departed friends and relatives were invited to dinner. This gave everyone a chance to catch up on news and unfinished business. This was a releasing technique as well as an acceptance of other realms. If there was something that you felt you wanted to say to a departed person, Halloween was a perfect opportunity to do so.
Pumpkins, Candles and Lanterns were lit to guide the Spirits into the homes rather than being a method of trying to drive them away. Doors were left open and favored meals were prepared in hopes that the Spirits would visit. Make Your Jack-O-Lanterns friendly and create a spirit of positive awakening during this Season. Do not buy into the "Fear Mongers" who want everyone to fear everything. Happiness, Joy and Love bring Positive Spirits and Vibrations into your life.

The Wheel is turning and Mother Earth is beginning to feel the effects
of the Majik of Autumn. She is looking to the sky, seeing the leaves on the
trees beginning to change, reflecting the time to turn inward spiritually.
The light is waning and dark comes sooner, cool breezes and the clouds bring
welcome relief from the heat of Summer. Small messages, like leaves turning,
geese heading South, the appearance of corn and pumpkins on porches let us
know the Wheel is in motion and Autumn is arriving.
Harvest is here, enjoy this wonderful season of change. Our Halloween Party
will be on the 26th this year. Friends, family and new friends will gather
together for a delightful celebration of the season. We will play games such
as, Ghost Pitch, Pumpkin Bowling, Monster Chess, Bewitched and we will have a
Cackle Contest, a Halloween Carols Sing Along, tell Ghost Stories and
Celebrated in our Majik Circle. Coyotes from near-bye often enter into our
chanting and wishes for a World of Peace and Happiness. Our Scarecrow will
stand in the garden with Fall weeds clutched in her hand. It will be a Majik
Night for all. Life is good! Even now at this unsettling time we can reach out
and touch each other with a kind word, a loving heart, a caring, hopeful mind
and wish for the Leaders of our World to bring about the peace and prosperity.
To take the time and effort to bring the troubled parts of our world into the
positive and gentle vibrations of love and caring.
Everyone needs time to relieve stress and let the child inside out to play
and laugh. Each day is a gift and we need time to enjoy the "Present". Roll
in Autumn leaves, dance barefoot in the moonlight, accept the gift of life and
Harvest, release all negativity, find pictures in the clouds. Hug a tree, have
a meaningful discussion with a cat, dog, or a bird. Have dinner by candlelight,
talk to the flowers and the bubbling brook, then listen to what they have to
say to you, feed the birds, hummingbirds and chipmunks, Celebrate! Life is!
How we feel about each Season makes a difference. Spirit and Vibrational
levels are extremely important as we dance the Wheel of the Year through
the Majick of the Seasons. We need to be aware of how important our thoughts,
our acts and our feelings are, to ourselves, our friends and families and
the Universe as a whole. Accentuate the Positive - Eliminate the Negative!
How you "feel" about the Morning, the Day, the Moment, the Book
- is like a ripple that is felt around the Universe. If your are angry, fearful
or down, the Universe feels it - If you are happy, successful and up, the Universe
feels that too! How do you feel at this moment? When did you last laugh so
hard you cried? When did you last make a Jack-O-Lantern, or play tag in the
moonlight and scream for joy? Or lay in a forest and look up at the changing
leaves or run down a hill in Autumn?
Share your gifts, give hope, care about someone, Be Happy! Add a Positive
ripple to the Universe!
It is important to stand by your beliefs without pushing them on others. Love and learn and let others follow their paths of learning too. Really care about our planet and all that exists. And when you care, you find you try to understand someone who has different views, you walk a path and shine a light and if they care to join you that is fine, if not, it doesn't mean they are bad or not a friend, only that they are different, and often differences help us to see another point of view. Besides, if we were all the same this would be a very boring world! Enjoy what is different about yourself and others. Learn to celebrate the differences in our beautiful, majikal world.

The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd and leaves on the
23rd of October. Libra people are Venus powered. Libra conjures up an artistic
image of a warm, peaceful, airy Utopian World composed of goodwill, good acts
and ruled by fair and loving creatures. In theory, Libra belongs to that most
Ideal place, the perfect world. Now being the astute mental Air Sign that you
Librans are, you noted that I said "In theory". Your intelligence grasps
concepts and broad aspects that elude others. You are discriminating and

LIBRA HERBS:
The 7th House, the house of Marriage and Partnerships.
is ruled by Libra. This sign governs the hips, kidneys. Complaints of Libra
are gravel, stone, pains in the back, inflamation of kidneys and bladder,
general debility. When Libra is afflicted, the blood loses its alkaline
properties resulting in a physical over-acidity. This affects the stomach
causing gas, sweats, kidney disease, hallucinations and can, if not treated
cause mental illness. Stress is a Libran affliction.
Mother Earth always offers her help.
The Herbs of Libra must nourish the kidney, clean the skin and blood and restore the sodium phosphate, which heals maintain the PH balance. Libra herbs are as follows:
Pennyroyal: is warming and soothing. (make a tea)
Violet: is recognized to help with cancer, adds phosphates. It has a cooling effect on kidneys and is a remedy for burning urine.
Thyme: excellent for headaches or lightheadness. Helps Kidneys.
Feverfew: strengthens and cleanses kidneys.
Catmint: Similar to Pennyroyal & Feverfew in its actions.
Archangel: opens the pores of the skin, cleanser.
Burdock: may be safely used in all forms of Kidney weakness.
SCORPIO HERBS:
The 8th House, the house of transition, Karma, the occult, possessions of partners, sex, past lives is ruled by Scorpio. This sign governs the generative organs, muscular system and bladder. Complaints of Scorpio are secret diseases connected with the generative organs, ruptures, piles, uterine and bladder problems.
Mother Earth always offers her help.
The Herbs of Scorpio are cleansing and antiseptic, forcing impurities to leave the body through their natural channels - the bladder, intestines and skin. Scorpio herbs are as follows:
Horehound: take as a diuretic, expectorant, tonic. Works as a cough remedy.
Blackberry Leaves: Remedy for diarrhea, use as an expectorant and to stop bleeding gums.
Leek: relieves congestion, stimulates the appetite, non-irritating diuretic, crushed leaves can be used externally to ease the sting from insects.
Witch Grass: Aperient, demulcent, diuretic, emollient, tonic. The infusion was once used to treat cystitis, pyelitis and gonorrhea. Now far more effictive medicines are used.
Wormwood: Wormwood is mainly a stomach medicine used for indigestion, gastric pain, heartburn, flatulence. It also is said to help stimulate the liver and gallbladder. A tea made of Wormwood can be used externally for irritations, sprains and bruises.
Now these next Herbs are for all!
UPSET? Try Chamomile: Lady's Slipper: Valerian: each can be of great
help to all with the following complaints. Please realize that healing
and healing herbs are for everyone. Your favorite or a mixture of these
herbs quiet the nerves, allay pain, promote sleep, purify blood, relieve
cramps, dizziness, hysteria and nervous exhaustion.
ASTHMA? Cardamon, Cumin and Cayenne: Added to soups and salads helps
relieve asthma.
COUGHING? Lungwort, Mullein and Wild Cherry Bark: Work well for coughs,
asthma, congestion of lungs.
NEED CALMING? Southernwood: As a tonic or strong tea will promote calming.
TRY Sage: Will calm the nerves, thoughts and bring relaxation. Sage is a good
blood purifier and clears headaches.
Garlic and Onion: Both are highly recommended this time of year as blood
purifiers, for antibiotic effects and to clear laryngitis.
Witch Hazel: Soak cotton in Witch Hazel and lay over closed eyes to bring
soothing comfort. Can cause drying of skin if used too often. Use wisely.

PSYCHIC INSTINCTS! How can we learn the Majikal Mysteries of Invoking
Our Personal Power? Ask yourself - Who am I? Who do I want to become? Find
your spark, that which energizes you and gets you feeling good. Begin to
manifest yourself into the Universe.
Remember - Have FUN doing this, because being really happy and feeling good
about you and what you are doing is an important part of your power!
Take a walk outside during this majikal changing of the seasons, get out in
nature if possible, go where the wild things are and see if you can contact
the majik there. All living things communicate. If we are aware and lucky, we
may find something willing to communicate with us. Usually animals are easier
to communicate with than rocks or trees. But all things will share their
knowledge if you are of a gentle, open nature.
Mother Earth offers so many paths to follow. Each path can bring new learning and joy to us. A nature walk can develop into a sacred pathway to understanding if you are open to the gifts that are available along the way. A Nature Walk can enrich your life, bring you in contact with power animals, their special messages as well as glimpses into the magic world where you begin to understand your value and role in the Great Mystery of the Universe.
How do we get started? First, get to know yourself. What is your
primary response pattern? Pretend we are going on a majik journey to the
Ocean in San Diego. ***** STOP! What did you do? Did you picture the waves?
Did you hear the ocean waves crashing on the shore and hear the calls of
sea gulls?
Or did you feel the ocean breese, the sand beneath your feet?
You responded to one of those methods first. Which one?
If you visualized first then your primary response is visual.
If you heard the sounds first, then you are primarily an auditory person.
If you felt the sand and the breese then you are a physical or kinetic
person first.
Why does it matter? Once you learn what your main method of response
is, then you can work on using the other methods so you will have a wider
range of communication skills. This will help you understand others, including
animals.
Try this exercise:
1. Learn to accept new and different viewpoints.
2. Learn to absorb vibrations, feelings, energy.
3. Try to imagine seeing through another's eyes, with their emotions, their
abilities, their spiritual values.
4. Now try to do the same thing with an animal, a bird, a fish, an insect!
If you are lucky enough to be able to get out for a real Nature Walk,
do so. Take enough necessities so that you won't need to hurry back. A
few hours can work wonders. But what if you cannot get out into a nature
setting right now? Thats OK! Mother Earth provides opportuntites to contact
and communicate with animals everywhere. Go for a walk, Look out the window,
Find your dog or cat, close your eyes and relax. Ask for a message and
accept the answer. A feather floats down, a lizard runs past, you open
your eyes and there, looking at you, is your cat and you know what she
is telling you. You hear a call and know it is the call of a peacock. You
begin to understand the language. Or perhaps you think you hear a tree,
a rose or a tiny flit of something, you are not sure what, perhaps it was
a spider, a hummingbird, or was it an elf or gnome? Begin keeping a message
diary.
Whatever happens is just the beginning of a wonderful adventure.
Learn more of the creature or Spirit you have encountered. What is the lesson or understanding that you have been given. Study the source. There are many ways to begin this majickal journey, a candle, a dream, all is Majik! One very easy way to go on this adventure is to buy the Medicine Cards and the book that goes with them, written by Jamie Sams and David Carson, published by Bear & Company, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. They provide the Animal Cards and stories, teachings and insights.
However you manage to begin this majickal journey, you will be delighted at all you can learn and how that learning empowers you. And please remember, you are not limited to one or two or even 100 adventures of this kind. There is always more to learn and new ways of discovering things. There isn't an animal or creation of any sort that cannot bring us the gift of learning and insight if we are willing to accept the adventure of learning awareness.
