This is a typical day at Hona Kai on Maalaea Bay. Sunny and no crowds. Typically many visitors choose to walk the beach and enjoy the ocean. Many parents also choose to sit by the pool and watch the kids playing in the ocean. As you can see the ocean is right in front of you. One of my favorite times is at nightfall. As you sit on the chairs by the pool, the view across the Bay to Kihei and Wailea is something else. With the absence on strong lights from the city, the view of the heavens is quite entertaining. An astronomer would have a field day with the countless stars overhead.
