This picture gives you an idea of the peaceful nature of Maalaea Village. This is the only road running into Maalaea Village. The road runs behind the condos. So the condos are on the left side in this picture and the beach just on the other side of the condos and on the right is nothing but sugar cane fields. No traffic or crowds to mess with. A large number of people love to walk this road in the morning or evening. It is one mile up this road to the harbor and the NEW MAUI OCEAN Center. A large number of new restaurants and shopping has opened.  It is a short walk to the stores, the Maui Ocean Center, and the harbor.  If you are catching boats to go snorkeling or on cruises you can just walk up to the boats. Sometimes a nice walk to dinner is in order to some very fine restaurants by the harbor. This view is normal which is no traffic. It leads to the harbor and main highway only 1 mile away.
